Development Manager

Everly is a small property development company focussing on residential and mixed-use projects in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

With an established track record of award-winning projects, Everly focusses on practicality, sustainability and enduring design in the delivery of its projects. We are deliberately a small company, and very hands-on in the delivery of our projects.

Everly is entering a growth phase and aggressively pursuing new development opportunities.

This role is working directly with the Director, and managing the day-to-day activities of a number of residential and mixed use development projects at various stages.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• assisting in the preparation of town planning applications;
• managing consultant agreements, finances, invoices an budgets;
• assisting in project feasibilities and commercial analysis of new opportunities;
• co-ordinating external consultants in documenting and tendering projects;
• managing preliminary construction activities and appointment of the head contractor;
• attending construction sites regularly and reporting on progress and activity

Ideally you are a proactive, independent work that has:

• Experience in town planning, and authority approvals;
• Degree in Property related course
• Experience in co-ordinating a construction tender and experience with managing a third-party construction company;
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of internal and external consultancies to achieve project and business outcomes;
• Strong communication skills including negotiation, presentation, dispute resolution and influencing skills;
• Tertiary qualifications in architecture, engineering, planning, construction, property or related areas
