With offices in Perth and Melbourne, McCorkell employs a team of over 60 specialists across both states to successfully deliver refurbishments, fit outs, new buildings and conservation works over a range of categories including commercial, educational, industrial and residential projects ranging anywhere from $1 - $50 million.

The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and the increasing volume of Design and Construct opportunities an experienced Design Manager is required to join the team.
Reporting to the Construction Manager/Directors, the duties and responsibilities include the following;
- Manage design completion and coordination including obtaining permits and approvals on Design and Construct projects
- Chair and run design meetings
- Appoint/novate consultants
- Manage design program and design deliverables
- Identify value management initiatives at tendering phase and during design development
- Design management and risk analysis of D&C tenders
Salary offer subject to level of experience.
About You
The following previous experience and key skills are of benefit but the right candidate will be upskilled and trained in the role;
- Project Architect experience a must
- Contractor side design management experience a bonus
- Practical, solution based approach to design management
- An understanding of cost and the commercial realities of construction
- Knowledge of products and systems available in the market
