Ducon Maintenance are looking for an Estimator that will jump on board and help drive the team to success. With an immediate start preferred - responsibilities will include:

• Preparing tender submissions.
• Bill of quantities and take-offs.
• Draft construction methodologies and programs.
• Quote analysis.
• Maintaining a subcontractor database.
• Liaising with clients and consultants.
• Attending meetings/contract negotiation.
• Liaising with construction teams.
• Post tender analysis.
• Value engineering.

Salary to commensurate with experience. 

We are seeking candidates that are able to think outside the normal lump sum square and have experience across a vast range of commercial construction and refurbishment projects.

They will have the dynamic nature required to step into an existing estimating team and have the added flexibility of working under experienced management whilst providing guidance and expertise to junior estimating staff.

• At least 1-2 years estimating experience in the commercial construction industry.
• A tertiary qualification relevant to construction industry.
• Melbourne based knowledge of the relevant procedures, legislations and construction processes.
• Experience managing multiple tenders independently.
• An ability to effectively liaise with contractors and stakeholders alike.
• A professional attitude and a high level of accuracy.
• Experience with Buildsoft or similar an advantage.
• Design and construct estimating experience will be an advantage.
• Capable of doing budget estimates for negotiated works with clients.
