Site Foreman

The contemporary construction arm specialises in apartment buildings between three and six storeys plus basement. We are based in the south eastern suburbs with three projects currently under construction.

Live sites include Malvern East, Camberwell, Sandringham, Carnegie and Burwood.

Due to our success and growth, CORNUS is searching for a Site Foreman experienced in apartment builds.

• Managing and communicating with subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Running a team and achieving set goals
• Day-to-day supervision of site, suppliers and trades
• Maintaining and communicating a project schedule / program
• Quality assurance checks and identifying defects
• Managing rectification of defects
• Scheduling trades
• Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
• Enforcing and coaching on company policy and procedures
• Making sure projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
• Completing site diaries
• Interpreting and communicating the head program
• Ordering and material lists
• Conducting site meetings - toolbox talks, OH&S issues etc.
• Maintaining overall site safety and OH&S
• Liaising with stakeholders - sub contractors and office team
• Reporting to the Director

Salary to align with experience level.

Ideally you will have:

• Construction Industry Card (white card)
• Residential apartment construction experience
• Onsite experience in excess of 2 years
• Passion for construction and are hardworking, reliable
• Strong ability work as a part of a diverse and multicultural team
• Eye for detail and display pride in quality workmanship
• Enthusiasm to learn & accept new challenges and skill sets
• Passion for problem solving and tackling challenges head-on
