The team at Fortis are currently seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join their team and work on a range of residential and mixed-use developments. Reporting directly to Fortis’ Development Managers and Directors, you will experience and work across every facet of the property development process from acquisitions, feasibilities, Council approvals, marketing, sales, design development, construction and settlements.

 

You will also be required to champion duties associated with broader business development including social media and administrative tasks.

 

Our office is based in South Melbourne, however, this role will include travel to Sydney bi-monthly.

Fortis is looking for a candidate who they can train and develop into a future leader of the business and it is expected you will ideally display the following attributes:

 

  • Must have experience as a Graduate Development Manager or Assistant Development Manager for at least 1 year;
  • Bachelor’s degree in property, construction management, architecture, engineering, interior design or any other field relevant to property development; 3+ years industry experience;
  • Must be particularly strong across all aspects of sales, marketing, design;
  • Must understand property finance & construction;
  • Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills;
  • Professionally presented, strong communicator with attention to detail, excellent written skills;
  • Keen interest in property, architecture and design with an enthusiasm to learn and grow in the role.
  • Strong proficiency across Excel, Word and Project;
