Assistant Project Manager

StandStruct was established in 2017 as a specialist contractor in the massive timber industry. Our core business is large timber structures made from innovative Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), Laminated Venere Lumber (LVL), Glulam and other forms of massive timber. StandStruct works as a head contractor and a subcontractor.

StandStruct is recognised as a leader in the space and have projects in Victoria and interstate. We have a team of 10 admin and site-based staff with our office located in Richmond. 

StandStruct is a division of Sinjen Group (builders).   

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Assistant Project Manager. The successful applicant will work closely with the General Manager and will be responsible for the successful delivery of several projects.

The successful candidate will spend equal time in our Richmond office and on site.

In conjunction with the General Manager, you will be responsible for: 

• Tendering and project estimating
• Site based supervision and coordination
• Contract administration
• Learning about new technologies in the industry
• Financial accountability
• Actively promote StandStruct with clients and consultants for future business opportunities.

You will be someone with ambition and confidence. A combination of site based and administrative experience will be beneficial in this role. 

 The following is preferred:

• A minimum of three years construction experience
• Experience in commercial and residential construction
• Trade based experience AND/OR tertiary qualification in Building, Construction Management or Engineering (or similar courses)
• Strong computer skills
• Solid written and verbal communication
• A history of applying lessons learnt from projects to procedural change
• Site based and administration experience
